Since the days of MySpace, I’ve been an early adopter and frequent user of social media. Now I use social platforms as a marketing tool to develop brands and connect with target audiences. Throughout my numerous roles at Mellwood Art Center, I’ve organically grown the Instagram following from under 100 followers to over 3,650 within our local target demographic. I created processes to increase User Generated Content, fostered relationships with event photographers, commissioned videos, and created video and photographic imagery to promote the brand.

A facility improvement project, funded by the photo pass program I began, served as an intentional catalyst for User-Generated Content with an artistic flair. The video below shows a portion of photos taken in front of the new murals between 2018-2019.

Along with regular posts, I also worked on a special campaign celebrating 90 years of the Speed Art Museum with the #90artworks campaign on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook using scheduling software.
